About WanderAtlas
About Me

I’m Grant—a college student from Louisiana now living in Tennessee. I’ve been to 7+ countries (more soon!), so I created WanderAtlas to share my stories and help you have the kind of amazing, eye-opening experiences that have shaped me. I love exploring the most authentic parts of a destination, forming connections with local cultures, and experiencing as much of this incredible world as I can! I’m also a total nerd for languages and history, so you’ll see hints of that sprinkled throughout WanderAtlas.
I didn’t grow up traveling the world. My family never went abroad, but I was always captivated by all things international. Once I got to college, I finally made it happen. I explored Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands, studied abroad in Japan, traveled across Europe with my family, and even landed an internship in Singapore. It took time, but I got here—and if you’re feeling that same pull toward adventure, I want to help you get there too.
If any of my story resonates with you, I invite you to explore WanderAtlas! While I am here to share my authentic advice, I’m also here to create as much value for you as possible. So please, don’t hesitate to reach out with any suggestions for anything I could do to make your experience better!
Much love,
—Grant
Why WanderAtlas?
I chose the name “WanderAtlas” because travel isn’t just about checking places off a list—it’s about embracing the unexpected and finding adventure in the unknown. For me, travel isn’t about chasing Instagram clout; it’s about expanding your perspective and experiencing the world in a way that changes you. Whether it’s standing in awe of an untouched Icelandic landscape or forming new friendships in a small Indonesian town, I believe the best travel experiences are the ones that connect you to something real. My goal with WanderAtlas is to create the ultimate atlas to help you wander—not just to destinations, but to authentic, eye-opening experiences that help you see the world—and life itself—in a new way.
